Version 4.8 had a freakier alarm but it was funny! It would play these loud sirens and go “CAUTION!! A VIRUS HAS BEEN DETECTED!!” and there would be a spinnning Nuke in the top left corner. Aaaa…. Avast. You scared me to death.

erm i was using avast 5.0 and i got a virus din din din threat has been dected and they make it seem like a virus is ok WELL on 4.8 when u get a vrius DOOOO DOOOO DOOOOO THREAT HAS BEEN DECTED and i imagine its telling me your fucked THUMBS UP IF U WANT THE OLD ALARM BACK ON 5.1

The 4.8 version is wayyyyyy better. It actually alerts you! Ding Ding Ding. *gentle voice* Threat has detected. It’s wayyy better like: DOOOOOOO DOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO DOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! CAUTION! A VIRUS HAS BEEN DETECTED!!!!!!!! I’m glad I never upgraded to 5.0
