for people who for some reason dont know. threatfire is suppose to run with an antivirus. its always good to have layered security. this is what i have on my system with sandboxie. tho im thinking to get CIS with everything. should i switch?
ThreatFire is MUCH more effective if you use the right settings. There are very few ways to get infected on level 4 or even 5 if you are really paranoid.
I think the Avast/Comodo combo is more effective than this combo as threat fire still lets threats through, Comodo wont as its a HIPS program but it does require user input.
I think at the end Avast and threat fire was clashing because threat fire popped up saying a program was deleting it self in fact it was Avast deleting the threat.
@languy99 lol of course they run well together, theyre built in the same product with KIS and soon Comodo, they kinda have to work together… but a standalone BB isn’t meant to run alongside a standalone traditional HIPS… like TF which u showed in the vid.
@firzen711 A hips and behavior blocker run very well together. KIS has both of them, Comodo will have both of them. A hips is the only way to truly protect a system, but it requires user’s input. The AV and behavior blocker are there to take the decision away from the user, but if something passes both, you still have a HIPS as the ultimate back up.
@languy99 so why are u suggesting those tests to choose a good FIREWALL? thats misleading, cuz all those tests are showing is HIPS ratings, and even then its simply under test environments. and on top of that, why would u suggest a HIPS to run alongside a Behavior Blocker (Threatfire)? yet again a bad recommendation that COULD end in conflict.
@firzen711 The reason I recommend those firewall is becasue they also have HIPS attached to them and as we all know a AV relying on signatures or a behavior blocker cannot find everything and the HIPS will be the last line of defense.
completely ignorant recommendation at the end of ur vid. u dont seem to even understand matousecs testing, sound like the same types of recommendations i see at Remove Malware forums by supposed ‘experts” and “mods”
I use Avast 5.0 Free and Malwarebytes Full Version. My pc is clean and running fast. Also i use CCleaner very long time and WinUtilities Free.
Avast is very good to be free! Better than others, such as AVG or Avira, but of course these are very good antiviruses, I think the free versions. So the best free security solutions for 2010 is: 1. Avast; 2. Avira; 3. AVG but with Malwarebytes or Superantispyware! )
P.S. My english is not very well… D lol
@languy99 I tried Kaspersky. It was very nice. I didnt understand so much of it… :S I would love to see a BETA of Kaspersky IS 2011. NORTON already released one..
How did you Learn about How to Secure yourself..
And one more question: Whats your MAIN and most loved Security(Combo or Internet Security)
@crogeek I’ll give it a try. Many people want me to review things so it might take me a while to get to it. Thanks for watching, please subscribe and recommend me to your friends. Take care.
@arminkosten I can’t come to a perfect conclusion because they both have advantages and disadvantages. Kaspersky has multiple shields from spam, parental controls and such, CIS does not, they have an AV, firewall, HIPS and sandbox. One is more of a total security solution for your computer while the other is pure security. One is paid the other is free. One is made in the USA the other in Russia ( if that stuff counts for you), and many other things come into pay. Try both and pick one.

I use avast and comodo
great vid man do have a video of MSE and threatfire
@NationalMix It’s a behavior blocker.
What is Threat fire? Is it antivirus?, Firewall? What is it?

@CraroruTech he already has look on his channel…and its the best combo
I recommend Sandboxie for safe internet browsing.
Can you try AVIRA FREE and MSE + AVG Link Scanner?
Just go to options and exclude MSE and AVIRA so they dont scan each other.

@languy99 threat turned up to level 4 or 5 sensitivity will provide hips
threatfire turned up to level 4 or 5 will give hips:’{}

@15Hayki Engine A is avast , Engine B is Bitdefender. Easy way to remember is by the first initial of the company corresponds with the engine.
@adumb1992 It has been known to happen on some computers. Sometime there are other software that don’t like to pay nice with Threatfire.
