This is a project I have been working on in my spare time for the last few months. I wanted a Windows 7 touchscreen tablet with a large screen that could handle HD video and wasn’t too thick or power hungry. The build cost for this was around $600-700. I had to sit at a weird angle for filming so I had a couple issues with the touchscreen, but it was only becuase of my odd positioning. The touch responsiveness is acutally pretty good, not iPad good, but good enough for me . Enjoy! Check out my blog for more info carbontablet.blogspot.com

Can I buy that off of you?
Honestly I never comment on peoples videos but this is amazong work. You should seriously consider finding a trustworthy person to handle getting a loan for mass production. That or propose the video to microsoft….well they might steal it but get this piece patented and go for it. You could make tons. Either way I am really impressed, truly innovative.

whats the battery life
Hehe… I don’t think you should take anything from all the people that are giving any sort of negative feedback regarding what you have accomplished slampana. You have made an awesome device that they wish they had an iota of the amount of talent you have shown in making it on yer ace! I’m pretty sure you could put any OS that runs on a PC on yer little beauty and it’d run a treat.
Fantastic work, I take my hat off to you sir.
Great job, too bad it wouldn’t be worth it to sell these given all the manual labor.
amazing
i am working on something similar everyone and i might sell it but we will see how it turns out. I expect 2 more weeks.
@LightxEdge I’m pretty sure WebOS was not designed for a 13.4″ screen.

@mrkiki911 Did you watch the video?
@MajinFrahma Yes, good drivers and the proper version of Flash are very important.
@Farfartt No, I don’t have plans to sell it. There are no video outputs, but there is audio out for headphones.
@smohan123 When you have the screen 2 feet in front of your face it’s like watching on a huge TV at normal sitting distance. The size is relative to how close you are to it.
@stoneground1 No, I did not use a Macbook Pro as the mold. The Macbook Pro is larger and thicker. I custom made the mold.
Nice!! On your blogspot you say that you used a macbook pro power button. As i look at the whole unit, it seems you made a mold of a macbook pro and put everything in it. The body is the same. Other than the screen part i’d say it’s a copy of the macbook pro. Good job though!! Keep it up!!
Cool project, but I don’t think I could ever get into watching movies on a 13 inch screen.
Still, this is a helluva feat. Congratulations.
Hi Slabama
GREAT WORK
Do you have plans of production and selling?
Are there any outputs e.g. VGA, DVI or sound?
An ACTUAL tablet computer, that’s awesome. Does it work reasonably well with a stylus (i.e. drawing tablet)?
Very impressive in any case, definitely a much better bang for the buck than the damn iPad. I want one.
Really nice work there.
Are you using any special video drivers for the gma or anything like flash beta?
@Naxxlax are you retarded Apple did not invent the tablet pc…Your just another gay apple fan boy who picks apple products because they are user friendly since he cant use something better but more difficult.
Nevermind.. Will you be selling these?
why the hell is everyone such fucking hypocrites ! only because its from windows u think u can call it good?
