Oh, look at my 1sy comment:
“I plan to buy an iMac with OS X for everyday computing and more, XP Pro to play games.”
So today I am using a WinXP PC… I guess the best advices would come from people who already bought a Macbook or from a seller. I dont own a Mac,Im just looking around to see what will be my next computer!
Hope I helped
thanks for that voluminous description ;P. Thought about buying the Apple MacBook MB881D/A BTO 160GB. For the beginning this will be quite enough for my study and in regard to it’s price it fits well to me! As u already added, this macbook has the 9400m and 2 Gb DDR 2-SD Ram, which I will upgrade as soon as possible. Anyhow u would recommed that ‘toy’ to me?
But for gods sake, dont buy the previous Macbook, their graphic card sucks! They are able to display HD vids, no more, no less. But not games.
BTW, use Google a lil bit more, you could find more thing that you thought. Just write the good words.
All the drivers you’ll need are on Mac OS X installation DVD. So: run Bootcamp, install Windows, boot Windows, put Mac OS X DVD in drive, install the drivers and enjoy! You can find non-official drivers too (google is your bro). Some say that those alternate drivers are better, I dont know yet.
If you wish to play with a Macbook, get eiher a previous or actual Macbook Pro or an actual Macbook (not the pro). This one has the 9400M inside, which is not a Rolls-Royce but far from a Lada!
do u had to install any sepperate drivers while u used xp via bootcamp? Cause i am interested in buying a macbook in 3 months and I just would like to know if I am able to game a bit dod s
When you buy a Mac (iMac included), there is no Windows (nor XP, nor Vista) but a specific Operating System, called Mac OS X or just OS X (say “O S ten”). It is,in my opinion , much better than Windows. And if you have a XP or VISTA installation CD, you can install it, using Bootcamp. Bootcamp is included with OS X allows you to boot your computer on a different operating system (XP or Vista). I plan to buy an iMac with OS X for everyday computing and more, XP Pro to play games.
