I wanted to add more space to my Windows boot camp partition because I wanted to put a couple games on it. There are other ways to do this, but this is the option that I felt most comfortable with. I like this because you also have a backup of your windows boot camp partition, just in case anything goes wrong (like a virus..lol) Twitter.com/TheSavage042

I only made 32g for my boot camp, but I’ve used most of that up now. I still have 150g free on Mac, so can I make the winclone on the mac? I know you have an annotation about this, but I’m trying to clarify that this is what you meant…
Thank you for getting straight to the point. I was getting really frustrated with people were telling us their life story in tutorial videos. It’s backing up right now, my MacBook Pro is HOT… my fans are running at 6k rpm and it’s still hot as a blonde with red lipstick in tights and a black dress!!!
Oh how I wish I could get a TB of storage on my Macbook Pro. Nice tip. They really should make this a lot less cumbersome.
after reading some comments i guess you originally didnt have the text added to the video that says formatting external hd will delete it. i just want to say,i understand there are computer illiterate people out there, but if you are on the level of messing with partitions, you should already know FORMAT-ing a drive, means rewriting table of contents of the drive to start from scratch.DUH.GREAT VIDEO 5 stars. So happy i dont need to reinstall windows. especially since i lost macs drivers CD…..
Excellent tutorial even though it took me 4hrs lol
@dunnydevo OMG!! SAME THING JUST HAPPEND TO ME
!!! did you manage to get it back already?? if so … plz plz help
thnxx
@dunnydevo XD , happened to me just now LOL . completely forgot it would format my external HDD . but the person who made this tutorial really should have just said to save it on the iMac rather than on ‘your personal external HD’ maybe a fair few people accidentally wiped out all their data listening to this fool’s instruction >.> , i’m not saying he’s bad because this method works but his suggestion to save it on an external hd is just stupid –’
i cant open winclone why ??
Thank You
Very helpful ! I also did without using an external hard drive. I just exported the image to my desktop and that’s it.
thanks !
@dunnydevo Dude, if you didn’t know that would happen, that’s your fault…learn about partitioning before messing with it.
thx alot! great tutorial
great video !!!!!! …….. 1 F***** problem u didnt mention that the external hdd had to be completely empty otherwhise if not then u loose all ur shit which is exactly what just happened to me, thanks alot. if u have stuff on the hdd ur ment to actually ment to select 2 partitions. thanks again :I …… just in simple words i had personal files on my external hdd and if u select 1 partition then basically everything goes . im trying to get it back but i dont know how…. just great! :I

This is brilliant, worked like a treat!! sounded a lot scarier then it actually was. winclone saved my life!!! cheers!
WAHHH!!! i did it just like this…reloaded…old wallpaper but no desktop icons or anything…any suggestions?
It say “Errors Found. Cheack log for details” when I try to restore. I’m running Snow Leopard. What should I do?
by the way, you don’t need an external hard drive, you can also clone to your osx drive which came in handy in my case..
great tutorial! how did you do the screen capturing?
thanks,
emanuel
