@stizz1982 — I own one of these and it’s hands down the one to get if you want a tablet device right now. My life is generally optical free these days unless I’m installing something old or proprietary that I can’t download a new installer for. Thumb drives, downloads, etc… all have removed the need for optical in most people’s lives except maybe for games. You’re just not a tablet user. I use mine primarily on the couch and on trips, and don’t need an optical drive in those situations.

@heatlesssun i got it replaced and so far everything works fine. hump does not help still… trust me hp didnt make the hump by design they just had no choice.. i still think the processor is way to slow and the track bad is week. but unfortunately they are no other options unless you want to pay 2x the price
