my pc with windows 7 start in 38 second and i have 892 mB ram and a very old processor.. my pc is an fujitsu amilo a 1655g search this pc beacouse is very old and slow but i was surprised when with windows 7 i can do everithing and rapidly…. it’s strange but true!
huh… don’t forget that the majority of laptop HDD’s run at 5400rpm, instead of 7200rpm. Boot times rely on HDD speeds a lot.
i’m happy with my mac, it works great.
Ubuntu greatest OS of them all.

@ftdj Ok, i just notice it was a mac mini, but if you say that this one only have 1.83 GHZ and 1Gb ram ddr2 memory it is the old version. i got the new one (2.26 GHZ and 2GB ram DDR3 with an nVidia 9400 card, and it takes less than 10 seconds to boot, just because the current version of snow is 50% faster than the 10,5,6…i love ubuntu but it is definitely slower than mac (maybe you can test it installing ubuntu in a dual boot config. on your mac and make a video with one boot at time…)

He is using a Mac Mini. You can hook that up to any monitor you want. It is not a Hackintosh.
