Computer Viruses and Upgradtion Standards- Beware and Be Aware

A computer is basically a tool that is needed to get connected to the Internet. And since the operations of the Internet can become quite complicated at times, it only follows that you pay enough attention to virus removal and up gradation standards. While there are some people who may think that it is not necessary at all, you should be aware that the computer is simply a machine that breaks down over time. It freezes. It locks up. It crashes. When problems such as these arise, there is only one thing that can happen for sure. It is none other than losing everything that you have in it.

The presence of the computer viruses is not something that can be worth a celebration. If you have had your fair share of these totally damaging viruses, then surely you know how distressing their upshots can become. Hence, this calls for the right action to virus removal and up gradation standards.

The Real Nature of Computer Viruses

Literally, millions of computer users get bugged by the viruses that are set on the loose. They are capable of launching an attack that when ignored can lead to a more serious damage. Most of the times though, one can be fully unaware that the virus is already on its way to spreading its devastating consequences.

The viruses are known to steal the valuable details whether financially or personally related, destroy the stored data, make the computer system crash, and even pass on the relevant information to a third party. There have been countless cases of identity theft since hackers started out making their presence known to all. Also, the online activities can be clearly monitored and the passwords memorized too by these viruses.

PC Security must Be Ensured

Since everyone knows about the effects that the computer viruses can heap on both the user and on the computer, it is really important that the anti-virus software is installed and updated. Virus removal tools should be installed right after the computer has been purchased and set to use. But in cases when you don´t own one, you can utilize the free virus scan software that is available in the Internet. Or you can opt to buy the software online too.

A virus cleaner is as important as cleaning out your closet. You take out the clothes which you no longer use, right? The same thing goes with the computer system. You must get rid of the unwanted visitors that seem to reside deep within and determine to wreck havoc.

Beware and Be Aware

Who doesn´t want freebies over the Internet? However, you must realize that the free websites for music, movie, and games are overly prone to viruses. When you carelessly download them, you give the viruses a chance to infiltrate towards the system.

Thus, anti-virus tools must be frequently updated and used. Make it your habit to run the anti-virus software at least once in a week to track down the presence of any unwanted resident that can ruin your operating system and steal your files. When the damage has been done in full swing, it often results to sending your computer for repair to a reputable technician. The attention to virus removal and up gradation standards is necessarily your means of keeping your PC Security.

Ad Aware vs SpyBot

Sometimes two virus/spyware scanners will attack each other. This is just making fun of that. Spybot – Search and Destroy is really a good scanner. AdAware, however, sucks. Norton is meh. The audio isn’t my own creation. I don’t even know where I got it. Apparently it is copywritten. Bummer, second video soon to be lost due to copywrite takedowns.

Be Aware Of ad.yieldmanager.com Threats.

EMBEDDED! Whoever you are, thanks for embedding this video of mine at www.indexofeverything.com ! ad.yieldmanager.com is targeting users and hosting advertisements infected with malware. I noticed, since last week, that ad.yieldmanager.com started to send my computer malware. At first, it wasn’t much malware and the first time, I only got one infection sent to my computer initially. However, as time progressed, the malware started being sent more frequently, from two a day to three a day. Back then, I wasn’t paying much attention to where the threats originated from. As time passed though, I began to notice that the malware was coming from the same place: ad.yieldmanager.com. www.newgrounds.com is the website which allows ad.yieldmanager.com to show infected advertisement banners. I strongly advise you to ensure that when visiting websites including advertisements that the computer is using a good anti-malware program which is up to date and being regularly updated automatically. ad.yieldmanager.com also sends malware to computers even when not having any web browsers running. I personally recommend avast! by ALWIL Software as the security software to help keep your computers protected from these threats. Despite what you see in this video, ad.yieldmanager.com also sends adware to your computer, as well as viruses. Stay safe out there. Remember, be aware of the ad.yieldmanager.com threats.

Spyware – Being Aware of It!

It would be a great advantage if we are aware of the dangers that spyware can bring to our computers. Here are some instances that you can consider in detecting spyware in your computers. If you’ve encountered problems that under normal circumstances aren’t experienced such as extremely slow internet speeds (e.g. internet packet sending/receiving even without any internet activity), slow CPU speeds (e.g. processes taking up too much memory and/or system resources), or even some applications disabled and limited administrator privileges, then you might be a victim of spyware.

Internet HiJacks can also happen as a result of spyware attack, a case where instead of going to a specific URL or website, the page is redirected to a harmful one [deleted the word instead]. The homepage is also changed into a spyware-infested page. This can track keystrokes and internet behavior, steal information, and worst, record financial account information and access them. Moreover, these malfunctions are usually caused by not just one type of spyware, but a large number that are co-installed by other spyware.

Getting spyware usually happen without you knowing it. Some of the ways in unknowingly getting spyware include clicking on an infested website, installing shareware bundled with spyware, downloading supposedly “helpful” software offers such as “Download Accelerators”, Unverified Desktop Themes, and other miscellaneous free software or “freeware”.

Some spyware can make its way into your computer through disguising itself as an interesting website advertisement through pop-ups, banners, and etc. Once clicked, it will redirect you to a harmful website that most probably contains more dangerous spyware. The spyware then intrudes your computer, trying to install malicious codes that causes malfunctions.

Another way of catching spyware is through installing shareware applications/software bundled with spyware. These are downloaded shareware programs that when installed, also installs miscellaneous software other than the desired program. The “bundled” or optional (even though force installed) software with the original program is the spyware. After installation, your system is now coupled with spyware.

Other instance of catching spyware is when a user performs a download of a seemingly helpful application, installing it, only resulting to spyware infestation. Examples of programs are “Download Accelerators”, Desktop Themes such as cursors, screen savers, and etc., and other kinds of miscellaneous softwares. Most often, spyware can be a result of installing unverified or doubtful softwares, as they may contain harmful codes that becomes activated once installed.

There is a combination of deceitful web-based advertisements and spyware installing software. A notable variation of deceitful web-based spyware is called “rogue” anti-spyware, a program that claims that your computer is infected whilst false, and offers to remove spyware, but only installing more. Most often, these come from advertisements, or pop-up windows and webpages from questionable sites disguised as anti-spyware.

Severe computer and network (e.g. internet) malfunctions may indicate that the spyware infection is most probably in large amounts. This is so as, usually, computers with spyware problems have lots of kinds of spyware installed because they replicate by installing other kinds of spyware as much as they can.

Most of the victims of spyware are innocent web-surfers. But sometimes, you can’t be too careful. Even when taking great caution in surfing the web to safeguard yourself from spyware, you might still catch yourself getting infected by spyware. In the end, computer malfunctions, and other problems are encountered. What happens next?

It is important that we are aware of these spywares and more important that we know what anti spyware we can use to be able to beat these spywares. Protecting our computers from spywares is just the same as protecting ourselves from threatening attacks.
