How To Solved The Problem Of “i Forgot My Windows Xp Password?”

So you forgot your Windows XP password?

Someday I have got a call from a friend who had managed to forgot his administrator password to his Windows XP computer. I told him don’t worry, it is almost impossible to access the computer as it happens to the best of us.

This method is easy enough for newbies to follow- it doesn’t require using any complicated commands. And it just call you a little money- I mention that because you may find some free one, but in fact all these software are not security or no use at all.

Windows Password Key 8.0

http://www.lostwindowspassword.com

This site provides a tool to recover lost Windows XP passwords. It works for administrator and user accounts. It works with encrypted files and password hashes. It even works if no passwords at all are known for the machine (as long as you have another computer with internet access to view this website with). Author claims it also works with Windows NT and Windows Server 2003 and Windows Longhorn, but the BEST thing about it is the fact that it can reset your passwords, but simply reveal them for you to remember and then use. Give it a try. The author would like to receive feedback. The fee for the service is very cheap, and is really just to cover server costs.

if you can’t find it helpful. Here is another simple way to access Windows XP with Administrator rights and privileges if you have password protected your User account on your Windows XP system and can’t remember the password(s) to login. Whenever Windows XP is installed on a system, it creates a default account called “Administrator” and by default this account is not password protected. Therefore, if you bought a brand name computer (such as Dell, HP, Compaq or Sony)or you have installed Windows XP yourself. You should be able to login to the computer through the unprotected Administrator account.

1.Reboot your machine.

2.Press F8 before the Windows boot screen appears. DO NOT press F5 as used on the NT/9X ser of Windows. You will be prompted with a boot options menu.

3.Select the Syart Windows in safe mode option.

4.Click through several self-explanatory screens until your reach the familiar ‘Welcome’ screen.

5.Find the icon for the Administrator user. If the default settings of your system haven’t been changed, there should be no password for this account.

6.The Safe Mode Welcome screen might display some of the other users on your system.

7.Login as the admin.

8.Press Yes at the prompt asking if you would like to continue using Safe Mode.

9.9Continue on to the User Settings control panel. Here you can change any of the other passwords for user on the machine. Make any changes you want.

10.Reboot your computer. As long as you don’t press any keys (i.e. F8) during the boot-up the computer will startup normally.

11.Login as the user for which you set the password.

Lost or Forgot Computer Password? Reset Windows XP password!

Lost or Forgot Computer Password? Reset Windows XP password!

If you have lost or forgotten your password for logging in to a computer running the Windows XP operating system, there are a few different options:

If you created a Windows XP password reset disk for Windows XP, you can use that disk to reset Windows XP password on your account. For more information on how to create and use password reset disks go to the Microsoft Knowledge Base:

How to create and use a password reset disk for a computer that is not a domain member in Windows XP
How to create and use a password reset disk for a computer in a domain in Windows XP

If you don’t have a Windows XP password reset disk, the other option is to log on as the Administrator (or to have the person who is the machine’s Administrator log on) and change the Windows XP password for your user account. For information on how to do this go to the following Mircosoft article:

If you don’t know the Administrator password, and don’t have a Windows XP password reset disk, then you will not be able to log on to Windows XP, and will need to reinstall the operating system and recreate any user accounts.

There are some programs available on the web which claim to be able to reset the Windows XP password(s) without access to an Administrator account, but these are not Microsoft programs, and are not recommended. If you do wish to try one of these programs (at your own risk), a web search should turn up a number of options.

Other tips:

First, do you have the administrator password? Login as an admin and change the password of your user ID NEW: If you are an Administrator user, and are logged into Windows right now because your PC is setup to log you in automatically, but have forgotten your password in fact, and would now like to change it. well, Windows requires you to know the old one. However, there is a brute force way to reset the Administrator password. Open a Command prompt (START—> RUN—> then type “cmd” without the double quotes) and then type the following command:

net user username newpassword

Remember, if the username has spaces in it, then enclose it in double quotes, e.g.,

net user “Jackson” pulpypass

This would change Samuel Jackson’s password to pulpypass provided Samuel Jackson was an Administrator user.

Don’t have admin access? Well, you can get it if you wish by downloading a cool utility from Thomas Mathiesen to recover Windows password if you have forgotten it. Or, you could just download this program to reset Windows XP / 2000 / NT security if the Administrator password, secure boot password, or the key disk is lost. NTAccess can replace the administrator password of a Windows XP, Windows NT or Windows 2000 system by rebooting the computer with a special set of boot disks or CD-ROM (XP only). This is useful if you forgot the administrator password and cannot access the Windows XP/2000/NT system. Petter N Hagen has put together an Offline NT Password & Registry Editor, which is basically a single floppy or CD containing everything you need to edit the passwords on most Windows systems.
