►►►►► alturl.com ◄◄◄◄◄ At a press event yesterday in London, Bethesda gave us an extended peek at the last of the three announced Fallout 3 DLC packs, “Broken Steel,” now set for a May 5 release. In a nutshell, Broken Steel will remove the game’s ending entirely, with Bethesda’s Pete Hines saying simply to fans that called for an open-ended resolution, “We got the idea.” Players will still have to make the final choice, but following that climax the game will continue, presenting new epilogue quests, another 10 levels to gain, and new perks, monsters and achievements to keep the climb interesting. For instance, one new perk will be “Puppies,” a passive ability that sees Dogmeat reincarnated into a puppy after he is killed in battle. A new weapon shown off called the “Heavy Incinerator” works like a projectile flamethrower, firing bursts of flame from long distance. That’s about as un-spoilerish as this preview gets, however. Read on, but know that many of Broken Steel’s quests, weapons and enemies will be revealed, along with details of Fallout 3′s original ending. Okay, Fallout 3 veterans, let’s get down to the gritty details. Obviously the game’s ending has been changed slightly to allow for your survival, making players send one of three companions into the reactor in your place. Hines hinted that there may be a way to regain the chosen companion, but let the specifics remain a mystery. Walking outside after the reactor’s activation will reveal a fully …
Colin McRae: Dirt 2 Gameplay (PC HD) This is the DEMO. Colin McRae: Dirt 2 (known as just Dirt 2 outside of Europe)[5] is a racing game released in September 2009, and is the sequel to Colin McRae: Dirt. This is the first game in the McRae series since his death in 2007. It was announced on 19 November 2008 and features the late Colin McRae as well as Ken Block and Travis Pastrana. The game features many new race-events, including stadium events. Along with the player, a mobile home car travels from one event to another, and serves as ‘headquarters’ for the player. It features a roster of contemporary off-road events, taking players to diverse and challenging real-world environments. The game takes place over four continents: Asia, Europe, Africa and North America. The game includes five different event types: rally, rally cross, trailblazer, land rush and raid. This World Tour sees players competing in multi-car and solo races at new locations, from canyon racing and jungle trails to city stadium-based events, and also includes a new multiplayer mode. A demo of the game was released on the PlayStation Network and Xbox Live Marketplace on 20 August 2009.[6] The demo appeared for the PC on November 29 2009, it features the same content as the console demo with the addition of higher graphic settings and a benchmark tool.[7] Colin McRae: Dirt 2 is an official sponsor of Ken Block, Travis Pastrana and Dave Mirra of the Subaru Rally USA.[8] Colin McRae: Dirt 2 was reviewed …
In the wake of the release of Red Alert 3 -the purchase of which in my humble opinion was a total waste of 50 bucks- I’d like to take you back to the original Command & Conquer: Red Alert and all its gritty, gutsy glory. Yessiree, those were the days when there was no co-commander crap, no teletubby tooltips and no namby-pamby here’s-how-to-do-it cutscenes… Like, EA, what the f#@k have you done to this game?!?… Lemme tell ya, I am seriously p!ssed about the way that- Ooops.. Sorry. I digress. (*ahem*)… Like I was saying (heh heh…) For those of you who enjoy classic PC games, here’s a new mission I wrote for the original Command & Conquer: Red Alert called ‘Jackpot’. It’s a Soviet-on-Soviet mission with several units modded and it takes place on a map I created from scratch using the Red Alert Map Editor (and a few other modding tools). HOW TO DOWNLOAD AND INSTALL THE JACKPOT MISSION You can download the mission here (free!): majorslack.com To install and play the mission, simply unzip the downloaded zip file and then copy the scu-0001.mix file into your Red Alert game directory (typically this is C:\WESTWOOD\REDALERT). To play the mission, run Red Alert, click on ‘Start New Game’, select ‘Normal’ difficulty, select ‘Soviet’ and you’re off to the races. (The downloaded zip file contains a Readme.txt file with the same instructions.) To uninstall the Jackpot mission, simply delete the scu-0001.mix file from your Red Alert game directory. This mission has been …

Need for Speed: Shift is the 13th installment of the long-running racing video game franchise Need for Speed published by Electronic Arts. It was announced in January 2009 as part of a three-game announcement that includes Need for Speed: Nitro and Need for Speed: World Online. Shift is under development by Slightly Mad Studios—who, under their former name Blimey! Games helped develop GT Legends and GTR 2 together with SimBin Studios—with help of Michael Mann (EP at EA Black Box) and Patrick Söderlund (senior VP of EA Games and head of DICE). In the new franchising model for the series adopted by EA, Shift takes its place aiming at hardcore gamers and focusing on simulation racing and realistic drifting rather than the arcade racing of previous titles in the series. It focuses less on street racing and more on simulating the driver experience and is being described as a racing game built by racers for racers.
